What is it?

Cardiff University's Surgical Society and Swansea University's Surgical Society are working in collaboration with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh to run this National Surgical Conference. This Conference aims to inform and inspire delegates about a career in surgery. We also hope our student and junior doctor delegate cohort will provide a friendly environment, preparing you for attending bigger international conferences.

Who is it aimed at?

This conference is ideal for medical students at any stage in their education as well as foundation year doctors with an interest in surgery. Whilst the conference is designed to promote wider participation within the field of surgery, it is also an opportunity to get involved with teaching and leadership. We therefore encourage participation at various levels of training - from Surgical/Medical trainees to Consultants.

What can I expect?

The NSC will be hosting a diverse selection of well renowned surgeons from around the world to speak and share their experiences. â€‹It hopes to provide an incredible opportunity to network whilst developing your portfolio and an appreciation of Surgery through the various skills workshops and research competitions held during the day.
